Rome Was Not Built in a Day: Balancing Duty and Rest in Ministry
Thursday Jun 27, 2024
Thursday Jun 27, 2024
In this episode, I talk about something that I've been struggling with myself - finding a balance between work and rest in ministry. Recently, I faced some health issues that made me realize the importance of taking time to rest and recharge. I realized that I had been pushing myself too hard, and I needed help from others to take care of the ministry allowing myself to truly rest.
I learned that setting realistic goals and delegating tasks is crucial to avoiding burnout. We can't do everything by ourselves, and it's okay to ask for help. Also, regular exercise helps not just physically but mentally too. It's important to take care of our mental wellbeing too, not just the physical aspects.
As Christians, we're called to observe Sabbath rest, and it's essential to set aside time for rest and reflection. It's not something we should feel guilty about. God wants us to take care of ourselves so we can take care of others.
Throughout my journey, I've learned that it's okay to take things one step at a time. We won't get everything right all at once, and that's okay. It's important to celebrate small victories and keep trusting in God's timing.
Remember to take care of yourself, so you can take care of others. Thank you for listening to the Go When God Calls podcast, and I hope you found this episode helpful.

Teaching Jesus in Everyday Life
Wednesday May 29, 2024
Wednesday May 29, 2024
I am excited to share some of my thoughts on this episode of the 'Go When God Calls Podcast.' Today, we take a closer look at how everyday tasks can be used as powerful tools for teaching about Jesus and nurturing a deeper relationship with Him.
I am a missionary in Mozambique running a ministry called Beacon of Hope Africa, I have witnessed how practical learning can be a great avenue to share spiritual lessons. In this episode, I share practical examples of how we incorporate faith lessons into daily activities for teenage boys.
One of the things we emphasize in our ministry is the importance of critical thinking. By encouraging young people to think for themselves and develop new skills, we help them see the world in a new light and appreciate how God is at work in everything.
We also focus on storytelling as a way to convey spiritual lessons. By sharing our personal experiences of faith, we can inspire others to develop their own personal relationship with God.
Throughout this episode, I share some key insights from the Bible and offer practical advice on how we can all grow in our faith. Whether you're a longtime believer or just starting out, I hope you find this episode to be informative and inspiring.
So, grab a cup of your favorite drink and join me as we explore how to incorporate faith lessons into our daily lives!

How Answering God's Call Impacts Your Life
Friday May 10, 2024
Friday May 10, 2024
This episode is all about answering God's call. When we answer God's call, it brings a lot of positive change to our lives. We talk about how it affects our relationships, our careers, and our sense of purpose. I share my own experience with launching the Go Missionary Network and how it started as a vision and eventually became a reality through learning and faith.
I also talk about what the Bible says about following God's plan and how fulfilling it can be to serve others. A big takeaway from today's episode is that anyone can answer God's call, no matter how qualified they feel. So, if you feel like you're being called to something, don't be afraid to embrace it and see where it takes you!
Scriptures:
"And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men." Matthew 4:19
"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight." Proverbs 3:5-6

“Celebrating Small Victories: Finding Joy in the Journey"
Thursday May 02, 2024
Thursday May 02, 2024
In this episode I emphasizes that small victories are worth celebrating on our spiritual journey. I encourage listeners to shift their focus from what they lack or the challenges they face to the blessings they have and the small wins they have achieved. This perspective helps develop a sense of gratitude and a stronger faith in God that can guide us through our darkest moments. This episode beautifully illustrates that small victories can be as simple as waking up every day with gratitude and acknowledging that God is present in our lives. By embracing small victories and celebrating them, we strengthen our spiritual foundation and step out in obedience to God's calling to fulfill the purpose he has for our lives.
Small victories require perseverance, faith, patience, and resilience, but they are worth celebrating and can impact the way we live our lives. Ultimately, every small win is a step closer to fulfilling God's purpose for our lives, growing our spiritual muscles, and becoming a better version of ourselves.
I also shared these encouraging scriptures:
“Do not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin.” Zechariah 4:10
“Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

Sunday Apr 21, 2024
In this episode, I'm talking about how to get started in missions by taking a mission’s trip. Whether you're interested in serving on a mission or just curious about what it's like, I'll cover everything from the basics to the spiritual growth that happens when you serve others. I talk about getting ready for a mission’s trip by making sure you have a passport and the right visas to travel. You'll also need to plan how to raise money to pay for your trip.
I'll share stories from my own experiences on missions’ trips to places like Argentina, Guatemala, and Mozambique. I'll explain why it's important to be physically fit, respectful of other cultures, and ready to serve spiritually. We’ll also talk about how to handle challenges like not being able to speak the language, different foods, and staying healthy.
Doing a mission trip can help you learn and grow in many ways. You can be ready by preparing yourself spiritually, praying, and being open to how it can change your life and the lives of others.
